Capella Expedition

Expedition Lord Howe is a dedicated journey of adventure and discovery designed to educate and entertain, and may be tailored to the specific needs of specialist interest or custom travel groups.

An expedition is ideally between 3 and 7 days and on a sole-use basis; with Capella Lodge as the 'luxe base camp' from which to explore.

In true expedition style, an unforgettable itinerary is created as days are filled with hand-on adventures including walks and marine-based activities. Lord Howe invites exploring the rainforest and palm groves along excellent walking trails. Guests take to snorkelling, diving, bird watching, combing pristine beaches, or scaling the heady heights of Mt Gower. In the evenings, renowned naturalist Ian Hutton presents the island's unique natural history.

Combining five night expeditions on both Lord Howe Island and on Kangaroo Island at sister property Southern Ocean Lodge, with a three night Sydney segue creates the ultimate Australian expedition in Baillie Lodges style.
